About my Winter Count
You might wonder about facts about me. In 5th grade, I made a winter count. A winter count is something that the American Indian tribes used to pass down history. Why is it called a winter count? Well, at that time, Winter was very boring, and the Indians decided to make a winter count using paper, buffalo hide, or cloth, and drew pictures of their lives. Anyway, My winter count is below if you want to read it.
I made a winter count to represent my year in life. When I was born, I learned to walk in my first year. It was very hard when I was a baby. Now, it’s time for cake! In my second year, I had my first cake and birthday party. I couldn’t spend my whole life without words, so I learned to talk when I was three. Afterwards, I ate so many different foods, but in my fourth year, I found out my favorite: rice, even though it tastes plain alone. Afterwards, I went to my very first school, and met my very first teacher and friends to play with-my very first relationship with people. Further on, I had my very first time watching TV like watching my parents when I was born. Ah, swimming. I learned how to swim with my dad when I was seven. Even though it’s violent, my family carved wooden weapons and made a “movie” with them. We also posted the videos on YouTube. In my 9th year, I had fun on my first play date. Those days were fun, like two people celebrating like they won WWI. Ah, swimming. I learned to play water polo when I was ten. I struggled to move my legs in an “egg beat” way. Eventually, I got better at it and could shoot goals. Over my past ten years, I gathered information for my life. I hope I can get more information to live longer.
